Meet Kristen
Kristen Hall-Geisler, in addition to being the author of this blog and Danny’s person, is a freelance writer and editor. Most of her work so far has been about cars; for instance, she’s the Guide to Exotic Cars for About.com, she writes for the Autos channel on HowStuffWorks.com, and she writes for print outlets like the New York Times.
On the last Sunday of March 2008, Kristen took the all-day orientation at the Oregon Humane Society to become a dog-walker. At the time, she lived in a house with two old cats and one pet rat, and while she was a dog lover, her husband was … well … less so. In September 2009, one of her cats, the awesome Alaska, passed away. A few weeks later, it was decided that the house was ready for a dog. She found Danny at OHS (convenient, eh?) during a Friday morning dog-walking shift, and by Sunday afternoon, he was living at her home in North Portland.
Kristen continues to walk dogs at the humane society on Friday mornings, much to Danny’s chagrin. The aqua apron that volunteers wear means he has to wait an extra hour — sometimes two — for his own walk.

You continue to amaze me.
I had wondered if you still had time to walk dogs at the humane society.
